The estimated schedule for the climb can vary according to weather changes, conditions on the mountain, illness and a million other things. However, a well known schedule is approximated in the table below. The schedule allows for time for “rest holidays”, illnesses, and allows for slow climbing.  We may stay longer at Camp 2, an Advanced Base Camp, which allows for less time to be spent travelling through the Khumbu icefall .

Trek to Base Camp (10 days) 8th April
Acclimatise, get used to "home" for the next two months (six days) 14th April
Climb to Camp 1 15th April
Back to Base Camp 16th April
Climb to Camp 2 19th April
Back to Base Camp 21st April
Climb to Camp 2 25th April
Climb to Camp 3, spend night on oxygen; acclimatise - 1 Poisk Oxygen bottle each 27th April
Back to Base Camp 28th April

29th April Go on "holiday" - trek down to a village
4th May Back to Base Camp
5th May First Summit attempts become possible - Base Camp to Camp 2
7th May Camp 2 to Camp 4 - 1 bottle each to sleep on
8th May Possible Summit attempt - 4 to 5 bottles each for a 15 to 21 hour climb at 2,5 litres/min
10th to 15th May Go on "holiday no. 2" if summit attempt fails - trek down once again in order for the body to replenish itself

Second Summit attempt - 4 to 5 bottles each for a 15 to 21 hour climb at 2,5 litres/min 20th May
Back to Base Camp 21st May
Await better weather if summit attempt number 2 fails; decide whether there is enough oxygen for a third attempt; rest 21st to 27th May
If there is enough oxygen for a third attempt - Base Camp to Camp 2 28th May
Camp 2 to Camp 4 - 1 bottle each to sleep on 30th May
