Tomorrow, René flies back to Kathmandu for the Adventure
Consultants' team celebratory dinner in the evening. He flies out to
Doha on Tuesday evening, 11th November, and arrives home on Wednesday
morning, 12th November. We are, of course, very much looking forward
to having him back in the fold again. |
Royal Chitwan National Park (3000 m - 8000 m)
Today's birding safari took René on a 15 km walk through
the Nepalese jungle. Amongst the 90 birds spotted were the white-throated
kingfisher (alongside), the crimson sunbird (bottom left), the grey-headed
canary flycatcher (bottom right) and the crested goshawk. Sadly, the
longed-for pitta was elusive, as was the tiger, although there were plenty
of tiger tracks to be seen. Animals seen on the walk included deer, boar
and red monkey.
